Ginger Apple Pie

With the sounds of pencils sharpening, school buses buzzing by, and sweaters appearing - it must be time for apple harvests. Mmmm mmmm! Did you know that apple trees need the cold?  The burst of brisk air that comes in the fall forces the trees to push the last of the sugars into their fruit - making the apples perfectly juicy and sweet. I know the brisk air brings me from the garden to the kitchen, and what better way to welcome the kids home (and enjoy some me time - listening to music and developing a talent) than make this Ginger Apple Pie. So slip on your favorite sweater, crank up the tunes and grab your fork!
